EPR

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in India is a policy approach introduced by the government to address the environmental impact of products throughout their lifecycle. The concept of EPR in India is based on the principle that manufacturers, importers, and brand owners should bear the responsibility for the management and disposal of their products, particularly at the end of their life. In India, the EPR framework is primarily implemented through the Plastic Waste Management Rules (2016) and the E-Waste (Management) Rules (2016), which focus on managing plastic waste and electronic waste, respectively. These rules outline the responsibilities of producers, brand owners, and importers in managing the waste generated by their products.

Environment First Recyclers has an established value chain network with Municipal and Urban Local Bodies for collection, segregation and sustainable disposal of plastic wastage through recycling and co-processing. We operate in a systematic and legally compliant way to best meet the needs of the industry. We can help us achieve your sustainability targets and legal obligations as a waste producer and provide EPR credits for submission to CPCB/SPCB. Please contact us to find out more about EPR.
